Older adults across the Lake Cumberland region have access to meals, social activities and essential support services through 10 senior centers operated by the Lake Cumberland Area Development District (LCADD).

Managed by LCADD's Senior Services Division, the centers serve as community gathering places where older adults can build connections, access resources and maintain their independence.

Services include recreational activities, organized outings, educational programs, health promotion events, transportation and congregate meals. These programs help promote physical and cognitive well-being while reducing social isolation among older adults.

Supporting these efforts, LCADD's Central Kitchen in Russell Springs prepared and distributed 5,135 meals across the district in September. The kitchen is managed by Roger York and plays an important role in providing nutritious meals to older adults throughout the region.
