Pennyrile Area Development District (PeADD) community and economic development staff recently attended the annual Delta Regional Authority Local Development District training in Memphis. This event brings together staff from across the DRA region to strengthen Local Development Districts' work and learn about DRA programs, compliance and project development that benefit local communities.

The Delta Regional Authority, a federal-state partnership, creates jobs, builds infrastructure, develops the workforce and expands economic opportunity across 255 counties in eight states, including Kentucky. The authority relies on Local Development Districts like PeADD to serve as frontline partners, helping communities navigate funding opportunities and support successful project outcomes.

Attendance at this event reflects the ongoing partnership between PeADD and DRA, helping PeADD serve its region better and strengthen economic development across West Kentucky. PeADD and DRA work together to help local governments access grants, provide technical assistance and ensure projects are ready for investment.
