Creative Medicaid education event draws seniors to learn, play and celebrate community support
The Purchase Area Development District's (PADD) State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) hosted its first-ever Medicare Bake-Off Bingo on May 15 at the PADD office, attracting 45 seniors for a fun afternoon of Medicare education and community resources.
The event kicked off with a presentation on important Medicare updates, followed by several rounds of Medicare-themed bingo, where winners received donated prizes.
Nineteen local businesses and agencies generously contributed desserts, baked goods and gift certificates, while refreshments were provided by PADD and Walmart. Representatives from Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP), Woodmen Life and Lee's Homecare were also there to offer support and information.
Thanks to the community's support, every senior left with two sweet prizes. SHIP was excited to connect seniors with valuable resources through this engaging and informative event.
