Kentucky WWATERS Program funding secured with support from Lake Cumberland ADD
Sen. Brandon J. Storm and Rep. Daniel Elliott presented Mayor Housam Haddad and the City of Liberty with a check for $12,563,000 to fund the Liberty Wastewater Plant Improvements Project.
"Investing in critical infrastructure projects to address issues affecting their public water or wastewater systems has been of utmost importance, and we sincerely appreciate everyone who worked tirelessly to secure this crucial funding," Storm said.
The grant was made possible through the Kentucky WWATERS Program. Lake Cumberland Area Development District's Community Development Specialist Judy Hachey and Deputy Executive Director Lyndsey Brown were pleased to assist the City of Liberty with the preparation of the application and will continue to provide funding administration throughout the project.
