The Lake Cumberland Area Development District has appointed McCreary County Judge-Executive Jimmie Greene to the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts Board of Directors.

Greene has served as judge-executive since 2019. He is one of two Lake Cumberland representatives on the board, which includes judge-executives, mayors and citizen representatives from each of Kentucky’s 15 area development districts.

Founded in 1971, the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts coordinates the work of the state’s area development districts with state government. The council shares plans and policies among districts, advises state leaders on statewide proposals and provides a forum to address common policy issues.
