CVADD provides child passenger safety training for Bell County DCBS staff

Dreama Wright, Cumberland Valley Area Development District highway safety coordinator, presented a child passenger safety education session to Bell County DCBS staff whose responsibilities include conducting home visits with families.

The purpose of the presentation was to equip staff with the knowledge and confidence to educate parents and caregivers about the importance of proper child passenger safety. Topics included selecting the appropriate car seat based on a child’s age, height and weight; proper installation and harnessing techniques; common car seat misuse; and Kentucky’s child passenger safety recommendations.
