Local leaders and utility representatives discuss infrastructure needs, funding opportunities and regional collaboration

Water and wastewater infrastructure needs and funding opportunities were the focus of a recent Buffalo Trace Regional Water Management Council meeting hosted by the Buffalo Trace Area Development District (BTADD).
Held Sept. 10 at BTADD's office in Maysville, the meeting brought together utility representatives, local government officials and community partners to discuss regional infrastructure priorities, share information and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Brennan Tucker, Kentucky state program manager for the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), served as the guest speaker. Tucker provided an overview of ARC funding opportunities and discussed how the agency’s resources could support water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the region.
The meeting highlighted the importance of continued collaboration among utilities, local governments and regional partners in addressing infrastructure needs. BTADD thanked participants for their ongoing commitment to strengthening infrastructure and improving communities across the Buffalo Trace region.
