Martin County secures $26M for water, sewer upgrades

Martin County will receive $26 million in state funding for eight water and sewer infrastructure projects serving the Martin County Water District and Martin County Sanitation District. The funding comes through House Joint Resolution 81 and the Water and Wastewater Assistance for Troubled or Economically Restrained Systems (WWATERS) program. Projects will address waterline and wastewater collection line replacements, pump station repairs, wastewater treatment plant improvements and debt service. The Big Sandy Area Development District will administer the funds.
